Puppdate #5 - Ending The Year In A More Dog-Friendly Ireland

Posted on December 03, 2016 by Paul Froggatt | 0 comments

It's the time of year when people come together to reflect, spend time with friends, and eat. Mostly eat. With this in mind, we thought we'd post a short update (mainly about eating) with a little help from our friends.

Pupper Club

Our Pupper Club events have gone down a storm, with each selling out and receiving rave reviews. Fancy a chuckle? Check out the photos from our Halloween dog fancy dress competition! On December 8th we'll be hosting the final chapter of the trilogy. We only have a few tables left and sales close on Sunday so book now before they're gone (10% off for groups of 4 or more)!

We Get By With A Little Help From Our Friends

One of the reasons Pupp was created was to help Ireland become more dog-friendly, and earlier this year we launched the Dog-Friendly Association of Ireland (www.DFAI.ie) to help other businesses cater for our canine compatriots. The reception has been fantastic, with over 60 businesses joining the initiative. You won't be stuck for things to do this December:

  • On 10th December Bread & Butter have a dog-friendly Christmas market (a Pupp stall may even make an appearance!), or Paws At Ardgillan are hosting a Christmas fair featuring local handmade gifts and festive treats.
  • Out West? Santa Paws is coming to Bubbles and Barks in Galway (also on 10th December).
  • Looking for that perfect doggy gift? Get 20% off ScoobyBox (www.scoobybox.com) or Fetch (www.fetchhq.com) subscription boxes with promo code "DFAI".
  • And don't forget to book your tickets for our final Pupper Night on 8th December!
From Everyone At Pupp - Thank You!

It has been a rollercoaster year for Pupp, so we'd also like to thank you for being involved. Nine months ago we quietly opened our little cafe, and have been overwhelmed by support. We've topped of the Irish Times' "What's Hot" list, were Lovin Dublin's most shared article of all time, featured on Pat Kenny's Newstalk, and much more. Your support means the world to us, so again - thank you!

We'll be taking a much-needed break so Pupp will be closed 22nd Dec to 1st Jan, but we have big plans for next year... Enjoy the holiday season and stay tuned for more news in 2017!

Sizing Guide

Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, and we want whatever you buy to be comfortable and well fitted for your pooch. Sizing can often be confusing, with manufacturers using different standards and metrics. At Pupp we list all our sizes in cm's so you can find the perfect fit.

How to measure your dog:

Collars

Neck: Measure right around the neck, allowing enough room to slide 2 fingers in for comfort

Harnesses

Chest: Measure right around the body around the deepest part of your dog's chest, usually just behind the dog's front legs.

Neck: Measure right around the neck, allowing enough room to slide 2 fingers in for comfort
